Summary: Huge increase in fun
Comment: I got lucky and found the triple cymbal pack for Rock band 2 last week. I had my usual Rock Band crew come over this past Saturday to test them out. Installation was complicated, the instructions don't really help; but once we figured out the layout everything stayed on nice and tight. The cymbals didn't wiggle around or move at all during gameplay.

Playing the Rock Band 2 drums before was already awesome but adding the triple cymbal pack takes everything to a new level. I felt like a real drummer. there were certain beats to some songs where it just felt natural and awesome of going from the cymbals to the drums. They did a great job in making me feel like a real drummer.

After about four hours of pounding from the adults and a ten minute session from my four year old who pounded the heck out of these, the cymbals kept on going without any issues. I picked up quickly and easily on using the cymbals and don't know how I ever played this game without them!

I think the few reviews here which say the cymbals stopped working after an hour or two just got a bad set. The quality is nice and everything is solid and doesn't feel like cheap plastic/rubber.

If you play this game a lot and want to feel like a real drummer, do yourself a favor and pick these up.

The only reason I gave this a 4 instead of a 5 is because the installation could have used better instructions and that sometimes you have to hit the cymbals hard to get it to register. I will say that you have to hit the cymbals somewhat hard to get it to register. Real cymbals allow you to lightly tap them and you can't really do that here.

Summary: Three more of the same
Comment: It's pretty well known that these cymbals don't add anything to gameplay or scoring. All they do is let you choose between, for example, a ride or tom sound instead of always the tom sound during fills. You might be thinking the drum trainer in free mode would be more fun with these, but here's what you don't know yet: You can't hit the yellow cymbal and yellow pad at the same time. Same for the blue and green. Only one sound is created. Also, there is no red cymbal or port so left-handed mode won't work. Set up was a pain and taking it apart to return it (defective pad) was just as difficult.

Summary: Confusing at first, but after it's fun.
Comment: At first when i unpackaged everything, I took a look at the instructions then i started to put things together. but it was a little confusing at first. The two brackets didn't "click!" together, so i had to tighten it to the point where it was hurting my hands to tighten. But besides that, it's all sturdy and it's not as loud as i thought it'd be. I recommend this accessory.

Summary: Easy to use
Comment: Very easy to set-up, and totally adds a more realistic playing experience. Height can be adjusted, simple set-up

Summary: Only for RB2 Drums
Comment: My wife got these for our son to play with the RB2 game. Unfortunately, they only work with the RB2 drum set Rock Band 2 Standalone Drums, not the RB1 drums. So, we have yet to hook them up, as we have not invested in the RB2 drums. It is just as well, beacuse our son is rockin' just fine with the RB1 drums!
